It is true that the REPUBLICANS have been moving to defund PUBLIC MEDIA for decades, but the DEMOCRATS never stopped them, because the FUNDING gap was filled by CORPORATE FOUNDATION UNDERWRITING (a tax write-off) that allows the rich corporate owners to buy up influence in 'public' media.
Taking the PUBLIC out of the public media is treason.
